This year’s featured  ingredient is…..APPLES!

Bring a homemade dish that features apples. Your dish can be savory or sweet, classic or creative!

There will be prizes!

We will also feature a beer/wine tasting, provided by Swan Liquors.

Summit Music Festival rescheduled (and rebooked) for THIS Sunday, August 21

Due to last week’s rain, the 2nd Annual Summit Music Festival has been rescheduled for this coming Sunday, August 21.

The event will take place in Lippitt Park (at the end of Blackstone Blvd, where it meets Hope Street), from 1-5pm this Sunday, August 21.

Our line up has changed a bit to include the following bands:

Aside from these great Providence bands, there will be local crafts vendors and delicious food!

Concerts and Book Sales at Knight Memorial Library

The Friends of Knight Memorial Library is holding a summer series of concerts on the lawn and we are opening a used book sale the same evenings. All proceeds go to support our library's activities. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs. Put on your dancing shoes!

Book sale opens at 6:00 pm
Over 4000 titles include over a thousand fiction books, hundreds of children's books from pre-school to young adult, non-fiction (cookbooks, gardening, dieting, biographies and memoirs, science, environment, travel), videos, books on tape, and more. Prices range from 50 cents to only $2.00 for beautiful hardcover books.
