Clearing snow is difficult for even the strongest backs, but some of our elderly and disabled neighbors have particular difficulty keeping their sidewalks and driveways clear. The SNA Snow Brigade is a group of volunteers who help these neighbors and the community by shoveling when needed throughout the winter.
Do you need snow shoveling assistance?
The snow brigade helps members of our community who
- are elderly or disabled and have difficulty clearing their walks and driveways; and
- lack other family or household support and cannot easily pay for a service.
If you or one of your Summit neighbors qualify for help from the snow brigade and would like assistance, please email organizers Britt Page and Tom Schmeling.
Want to join the brigade?
Strong backs are always needed! If you are willing to join the effort as a volunteer shoveler, let us know! Shovelers work in teams, trading off two-week shifts so that nobody has to commit for the entire winter.
