Annual Meeting

Each April, SNA members convene for an annual meeting, featuring good cheer, discussion of SNA’s accomplishments from the prior year and plans for the next one, and speakers such as elected officials.

The 2024 annual meeting was held on Monday, April 29.

Ward 3 Democratic Candidate Forum

Thursday, August 11th @ The Rochambeau Library, 6pm – 8pm

Yard Sale

The SNA Yard Sale is one of the highlights of the annual calendar. Held each year in September, the neighborhood yard sale brings visitors from around the state to find new homes for our previously-loved items. SNA provides maps of neighbors who are participating in the yard sale, as well as a central location for those with smaller or fewer items available.

Movie Nights

October is one of the best months in Summit. Longer, warm evenings are ideal for family movies in the park! In cooperation with the Providence Children’s Film Festival, SNA sponsors a family movie series in our own Lippitt Park. Showtimes and films are appropriate for young and old alike.

Cook-off

As fall brings a chill to the air, our thoughts turn to the kitchen in anticipation of the Thanksgiving table. Around Halloween, SNA sponsors a neighborhood cook-off to find the year’s star baker. The judges select a theme ingredient, and Summit cooks and bakers bring their creativity and skill to bear.

Caroling for a Cause

December is a time for reflection and uplifting our neighbors of all creeds and traditions. The annual Caroling For A Cause, sponsored by SNA in cooperation with The Miriam Hospital, features a band of singers tramping through the neighborhood giving voice to the festive season and soliciting contributions of peanut butter or cash from residents to benefit the St. Raymond’s food pantry.
