(Rain Date: Sunday, April 26th from 10am-1pm).

Where: Lippitt Park

This event is free and open to all ages. Our Earth Day Celebration this year will include:

  • Family-friendly lawn games and activities, such as giant Jenga, cornhole, sidewalk chalk, and more.
  • Representatives from Congress of the Birds, It’s baby bird season! Learn about the fascinating and important mission of this local, Providence- and Chepachet-based wild bird clinic that treats over 1,000 avian patients annually, and learn how to volunteer.
  • Resource Recovery RI: RIRRC is dedicated to helping Rhode Islanders reduce, reuse, and recycle. They operate Rhode Island’s Central Landfill, Materials Recycling Facility, leaf and yard composting operation, and the Eco-Depot for household hazardous waste. Come and ask questions.
  • Friends of Lippitt Park: That’s us! Check out our table, learn about our plans for upcoming events and programs in the park, and share your ideas. We’d love to talk to you about how we are advocating for our community’s green space, and how you can become involved.
  • And more.
