Eleventh Annual Yard Sale Our Most Successful Yet!

Beautiful weather helps.
Just when we think we've had as good a Yard Sale as we could possibly ever have, Summit neighbors do us one better. It is Summit neighbors that donate the incredible stuff we sell, and they also come out to spend a few bucks on the day of the sale.

Shoppers browse household goods.
May 11th was a beautiful, sunny Saturday. The pleasant weather served to cap off a remarkably smooth effort. Credit must go to the Yard Sale committee, Michelle Tuck, chair; Judy Brown, Connie Chesebrough, Liz Cameron and Bonnie Robison. With guidance from Liz, who led the effort for so many years, the committee really nailed it this year.

As in past years, the Rochambeau Library donated a large number of books to our sale. A special thanks to Librarian Sarah Weed and all the folks over there.

Books are always popular.
The SNA board can always be counted to pitch in with the Yard Sale. Nearly everyone on the board was able to help either Thursday or Friday, collecting and pricing items, or else on the day of the sale, setting up, selling or cleaning up.

Until next year...
The Summit Neighborhood Association's Yard Sale is our only fundraiser. Proceeds from it and from members' dues go primarily toward the printing cost of our newsletters, and help us do everything else we do.

If you're curious, here is the announcement we ran before the sale.

Our next Yard Sale will be in May 2003.
